"Ramona thought about the city.

—I have to admit we are locked in the most exquisite mysterious muck. This muck heaves and palpitates. It is multidirectional and has a mayor. To describe it takes many hundreds of thousands of words. Our muck is only a part of a much greater muck—the nation state—which is itself the creation of that muck of mucks, human consciousness. Of course all these things also have a touch of sublimity—as when Moonbelly sings, for example, or all the lights go out. What a happy time that was, when all the electricity went away! If only we could re-create that paradise! By, for instance, all forgetting to pay our electric bills at the same time. All nine million of us. Then we’d all get those little notices that say unless we remit within five days the lights will go out. We all stand up from our chairs with the notice in our hands. The same thought drifts across the furrowed surface of nine million minds. We wink at each other, through the walls.

At the Electric Company, a nervousness appeared as Ramona’s thought launched itself into parapsychological space.”

"The world is ending."

Wait, I don’t think i said that right.
I mean: “My world is ending.”
Actually, never mind. I think I got it right the first time.

During last night’s episode I noticed the Big Brother houseguests drink Tecate out of 24-packs just like me

Whenever I feel discouraged, I just think about the fact that the contestants on Big Brother have been in the house for 87 days, and 5 of them are still in the running. I only moved to Philadelphia 17 days ago. It’s still early in the game, and that means that I still have a shot at winning the $500,000 and/or a job! Who knows what could happen??? Maybe the dudes I see outside my window, drinking on the corner every day, are my competitors. Maybe my bedroom is really the diary room. Maybe me avoiding tripping over the sidewalk is a daily Head of Household competition. Maybe Julie Chen is a lie. And maybe God is at the other end of my laptop’s webcam, taking notes on what bits from my life to edit out for tomorrow night’s show. I hope America likes me!
